Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your starting point when you log in to DataVault. It provides a quick overview of the database and easy access to all major sections of the application.
Quick Stats Cards
At the top of the dashboard, you will see coloured cards showing key statistics:
- Banknotes — Total number of banknote records in the database (click to browse all banknotes)
- Coins — Total number of coin records (click to browse all coins)
- Countries — Number of countries covered
- Currencies — Number of currencies in the database
- Issuing Authorities — Number of central banks and mints
Each card is clickable and takes you directly to the relevant list page.
Recent Records
The main area of the dashboard shows the most recently added or updated records:
- Recent Banknotes — The 10 most recently added banknotes with country, denomination, year, substrate, and design information
- Recent Coins — The 10 most recently added coins with country, denomination, year, shape, and edge information
Sidebar
The right sidebar contains:
- Announcements — Important updates about the platform, new features, and data additions. Click on an announcement to expand it and read the full details.
- Top Substrates — The most common substrate types used in banknotes
- Coin Shapes — Distribution of coin shapes in the database
- Coin Metals — Distribution of metals used in coins
Configuration Summary
At the bottom of the dashboard, a set of smaller cards shows the total count of reference data items: regions, sub-regions, substrates, security features, coin shapes, and metals. Each card links to its respective listing page.
